2-suspects were arrested, and salinas police are looking for 1-more, after a man was car-jacked yesterday afternoon. The victim had parked his vehicle on park street, near central park, when a group of 3-young men got in his car, demanded his keys at gunpoint, and sped away. Officers began pursuing the vehicle just after 3:30 p.m. 18-year-old andrew chavez, and a 17-year-old were arrested after the car crashed at west market and capitol streets. Police believe another suspect got away, and are continuing to investigate. Police also believe the 2-suspects were involved in an attempted homicide at wal-mart in september. Chavez was also charged with a prior burglary.
