Authorities in salinas are looking for a man who assaulted and robbed a woman this morning. the victim was at the salinas travel inn on the 4-hundred block of monterey street, when a man knocked on her door and asked to use the restroom. The victim allowed the man to do so, but when he came out of the bathroom, the man brandished a gun and demanded the victim’s money. The suspect struck the woman with the gun several times, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was treated at a local hospital following the 10:30 a.m. incident. the suspect was described as a 5-foot-7 hispanic man estimated to be in his 20s, about 150-pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.
