THE SCOTTS VALLEY CITY COUNCIL HAS APPROVED AN INTERIM HABITAT CONSERVATION PLAN. THAT MEANS THAT CERTAIN SCOTTS VALLEY RESIDENTS, SUCH AS THOSE ON BEAN CREEK ROAD AND SCOTTS VALLEY DRIVE , WILL ONLY HAVE TO GO TO CITY PLANNERS, NOT THE FEDS, FOR APPROVAL TO BUILD DECKS AND/OR ADD SWIMMING POOLS. THE HOMES AFFECTED BY THIS INTERIM PLAN ARE IN THE ECOLOGICALLY SENSITIVE ZAYANTE SANDHILLS AREA.
