A 28-year-old inmate escaped from the rountree jail facility near Watsonville thursday. Richard Norman sasse is believed to have left the jail thursday night through a food-delivery slot in an employee lounge. He was discovered missing during a head count at 11 a.m. friday. anyone who sees Richard Norman sasse is encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately. Sasse is white, 6-foot-tall, 155-pounds, he has dark hair and green eyes. He was in custody for allegations of strong-armed robbery and carjacking.
