Services will begin this Sunday for Bob Zoccoli who passed away this past Friday. The 85 year-old, who lived in Santa Cruz all of his life (except for 4 years when he was stationed aboard the U.S.S Princeton, or at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey), was the longtime owner of Zoccoli’s Deli in downtown Santa Cruz. He is survived by his wife of 62 years as well as his sister, daughter, sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Vigil Service and Recitation Of The Holy Rosary will be held at Benito And Azzaro Pacific Garden Chapel Sunday, and his mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church on High Street in Santa Cruz starting at 10 a.m. Monday.
