Assemblyman Rob Bonta is Governor Gavin Newsom’s nomination to replace Xavier Becerra as the state attorney general. If he is approved, Bonta will be the first Filipino-American attorney general in California. Bonta, who grew up with parents involved in social justice movements, went on to become a national leader in the fight to repair our justice system, and defend the rights of every Californian.
