A decision was made yesterday to begin the environmental review process needed to demolish Capitola’s historic Rispin Mansion. The mansion, which was built in 1922 and has been vacant since 1959, was gutted by fire in May 2009. Capitola council members voted to begin the demolition process, which could begin as early as December.
