A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow (Friday) morning at Rat Creek on Highway 1. That ’s about 15 miles south of the town of Big Sur. Rat Creek is where a 150 crevasse was created in the coastal highway in late January, when heavy rains led to a debris-flow from the Dolan Fire burn scar area. The coast road is scheduled to re-open to the public shortly after noon.
