2 local residents have joined a class action lawsuit against the largest assisted living provider in the U.S. Brentwood Tennessee–based Brookdale Senior Living, which has facilities all over the nation….including in Scotts Valley, is accused of committing elder financial abuse…due to continued understaffing that makes it impossible to provide services that residents were promised….and have paid for. Some of the services that have reportedly not been provided on a regular basis at the Scotts Valley facility are: having a dietician on site, timely assistance for patients who need help getting dressed in the morning, and consistent rides to doctors appointments.
