Officials at U-C-S-C have announced a rise in sexually related crimes. Since 2011 the number of reports of incidents of such as; harassment, stalking, and assault have tripled. The rise is thought to be the result of the increased awareness on the part of student body regarding the importance of reporting incidents to authorities. However it is still believed that sexual crimes are severely under reported prompting a statewide U-C educational campaign and locally, U-C-S-C has tripled victim advocacy staff.
