(09:10) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz Yacht Club announced that Registration is now open for the 32nd Annual Santa Cruz Lighted Boat Parade. This year’s theme is Holiday Magic! Mariners throughout Santa Cruz County are encouraged to sign up and join the fun by decorating their boats for the parade that begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. The parade takes place in the South Harbor between Murray Street bridge and the gas dock. The Santa Cruz Yacht Club will award prizes in six categories: Power boats (small and large), sailboats (small and large), as well as people-powered boats and stationary boats in harbor slips or dry storage. Paddle-boarding during the parade will not be permitted. Boaters can register by going to the club website scyc.org or at club.scyc.org.
