the newly formed santa cruz county board of education REDISTRICTING task force met for the first time yesterday. the 13 member team is assigned with drawing 7 trustee areas based on a distribution of the county’s population. the size of trustee areas can vary if the task force chooses not to divide geographical areas, minority groups and communities of interests, such as school districts. the group is scheduled to make recommendations to the county board on november 17th .
