Although county registrars have until April 29th to finish checking signatures that were turned in, to get a recall of Governor Gavin Newsom on the ballot…..only 380,060 still need to be determined to be valid. If the recall qualifies for the ballot, “the Department Of Finance will estimate the costs of the recall election and submit this estimate to the chairperson of the joint Legislative Budget Committee, governor, lieutenant governor, and the secretary of state”. On the recall ballot, if the majority of voters say yes on the question to recall, the governor would then be removed and replaced with the candidate that has the majority vote.
