After a three and a half hour public hearing yesterday on the Santa Cruz rail trail… the public remains deeply divided.
Following the hearing the regional transportation commission tabled the hearing until next month when the meeting will not be a public hearing but rather will be an item on the agenda. Many attending the meeting did not have the chance to comment yesterday.
The R-T-C is wrestling with the deep divide of those who want the light rail and bike trail and those who simply want just a bike trail. Those against the passenger rail urged the commission to put the issue on the ballot in 2022.
