With no known cases of the Coronavirus in Monterey county, it seems odd that the state would decide to quarantine several people in Pacific Grove. They are being housed on state-owned property at Asilomar, and reportedly the state will be providing all the resources to care for these patients over the next 14 days. The state has said that no Asilomar Conference Center staff will be in contact with the quarantined people……and there is no reason for the 4 people (who had been aboard the Grand Princess Cruise Ship docked in Oakland) to come into contact with the public. Although these 4 quarantined people have been exposed to Covid-19, so far they have tested Negative for the virus.
