AN ARMED MAN ROBBED A CONVENIENCE STORE IN SALINAS FRIDAY NIGHT. THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE AT THE QUIK STOP ON THE 1-HUNDRED BLOCK OF CLARK STREET AROUND 7 P-M, WHEN A MAN IN A BLACK SKI-MASK, ARMED WITH A HAND GUN WALKED INTO THE STORE AND DEMANDED MONEY FROM THE CLERK. THE ROBBER FLED WITH AN UNDISCLOSED AMOUNT OF MONEY. WITNESSES TO THE CRIME SAY THE SUSPECT GOT INTO A WHITE SEDAN AND WAS LAST SEEN HEADED OUT OF TOWN ON WEST MARKET STREET. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION ON THE ROBBERY IS ENCOURAGED TO CONTACT THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT.
