A plan to address saltwater intrusion and overdraft of the pajaro valley groundwater basin is set to be heard wednesday, following a public workshop. Officials with the pajaro valley water management agency will host the workshop to educate members of the public about the issues, and about various proposals on how to address the concerns. Following the public workshop, board members will meet to discuss recommendations by the basin management plan committee. The public workshop is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., at watsonville civic plaza (on main street). the workshop will be on the 4th floor, (in the community room). The water board is then scheduled to convene at 7 p.m.
