126 layoff notices in the pajaro valley unified school district are likely to be rescinded. that’s because more than 70 teachers recently accepted a retirement initiative plan designed to save the district money. with the new plan, k-12 teachers will get 95 percent of their salary. they must be 55 years old and have worked in the district for at least 5 continuous years.
