As the main recycled water project struggles with a variety of issues, the expansion proposal for Pure Water Monterey just barely made it through another attempt to shelve it indefinitely. The members of the Monterey One Water Board voted 11-10 this week to deny a proposed resolution because of what were deemed environmental issues. More than 80 ‘public speakers’ testified remotely during the online meeting.
