A public hearing is set for Wednesday morning to discuss a proposed 10-dollar vehicle registration tax in santa cruz county. members of the [santa cruz] county regional transportation commission will take comments from the public at the 9:30 a.m. meeting, which will be held at the santa cruz county board of supervisors’ chamber at 701 ocean street. Commissioners are hoping to put the measure on the November ballot. it would raise an estimated 2-million dollars (or more), annually. those funds would be dedicated to county road improvements.
