Monterey County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for driving under the influence early this morning, after he attempted to flee. Deputies tried to pull 49-year old Kurt Barrington over at about 12:20 for vehicle code violations, when he failed to yield, leading deputies on a pursuit through Prunedale, where he eventually stopped in the area of Moro and Tustin Roads. Deputies found open containers of alcohol inside his vehicle and also say that Barrington was driving on a suspended license. He was turned over to CHP officers for further investigation before he was booked into Monterey County Jail.
