Around 6,000 PG&E customers were without power in areas of Santa Cruz County this morning. About half have been restored. The outage occurred around 4 a.m., after a car hit a pole on Soquel Avenue at Research Park. The majority of customers affected are in Soquel, Capitola, and West Aptos. Power is expected to be fully restored by 7:45 a.m.
