A HEAD ON CRASH INTO A UTILITY POLE CAUSED A LIVE OAK POWER OUTAGE WEDNESDAY NIGHT. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED AROUND 7 P-M WHEN A 26 YEAR OLD SANTA CRUZ MAN HAD AN UNSPECIFIED MEDICAL CONDITION, CAUSING HIM TO LOSE CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE AT THE INTERSECTION OF EAST CLIFF AND 25TH AVENUE. THE VEHICLE STRUCK A POWER POLE KNOCKING OUT ELECTRICITY TO NEARLY 5-HUNDRED HOUSEHOLDS. THE DRIVER RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES, AND PG and E CREWS HAD SERVICE FULLY RESTORED SHORTLY BEFORE 1 A-M.
