Under a new state-funded program, some california homeowners can postpone paying their property taxes. Eligible low-income elderly, blind or disabled homeowners can apply under the property tax postponement program, between october 1st and february 10th. In the fiscal year 2019-2020, the state will fund 13 million dolllars in loan postponements. Repayment becomes due when the homeowner: moves, sells, transfers title, defaults, refinances, dies or obtains a reverse mortgage.
