A man fishing over the weekend near Big Sur was found dead after being hit by an unexpected wave. A Coast Guard helicopter found the man’s body at about 10:30 Saturday morning just North of Soberanes Point. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office says two men were fishing, when their boat capsized after being struck by a rogue wave. The second man survived. Officials have not released the identity of the deceased, but say he was Hispanic and in his thirties.
