Citing a Harvard study that contends joint replacement surgery for pain is a useless procedure. Doc explains how joint replacement surgery often requires repeat replacement surgery. Asserting that joints, ligaments and tendons can be rebuilt through nutritonal supplementation so the surgery isn't necessary.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story regarding a study of hip replacement patients. Researchers looked at over 35,000 surgeries at 46 hospitals finding that women were 29% more likely to have a repeat surgery with three years. Overall repeat surgeries within three years 2.3% of women need repeat surgeries while repeats for men is at 1.9%. Doc again cites the Harvard study that found surgery for joint pain is useless because the replacement does not address the root cause of joint failure.
