The report also states that new cancer cells were also inhibited from growing. Doc also states that homosexuality is not a lifestyle choice but rather a congenital birth defect.

They still die from heart disease, diabetes, cancer etc. just like the rest of us. Asserting this is because medical doctors don't have the knowledge of how to prevent and reverse chronic illnesses.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a study on daily aspirin users. The study researchers were attempting to confirm the findings of a previous study from 2011. The earlier study found that people taking at least one aspirin a week were more likely to develope age related vision loss. Referring to wet macular degeneration the leading cause of blindess in older people. The more recent study of nearly 2500 Australians found those taking at least one aspirin a week were twice as likely to develope wet macular degeneration than those not taking the drug.

Dr. Wallach starts the show citing several previous studies on joint surgeries. These studies found that many commonly performed surgeries do not work in the long run. Some knee surgeries have been found to be unwarranted as well as surgery of the lower back for sciatica.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss two news articles regarding research studies on acid reflux drugs. Both stories published by the same news agency on the same day seem to partially contridict one another. The first was a statement from the FDA regarding possible changes to the warning labels of both prescription and over-the-counter acid reflux drugs. The label change was to warn of links to fractures of the hip, wrist and spine when taking the drugs for a year or more. The later story recanted a link to fractures associated with the over-the-counter acid reflux drugs. However the FDA did acknowledge that people taking these drugs for prolonged periods of time or those exceeding the recommended dosages may still be at risk of fractures.

Asserting that ADHD is not genetic as many health experts advocate. Contending it is actually caused by too much sugar in the diet combined with nutritional deficiencies.

Doctors at one hospital told her that her son had the flu. She did an online search of his symptoms and realized he could have a brain tumor so went for a second opinion. The second doctor discovered a 2.5 centimeter tumor that most likely would have killed him within a week.

Researchers from Albert Einstein College of Medicine observed a corresponding rise in chlorine use and food allergies. Finding adults with high levels of dichlorophenol in their urine were 80% more likely to have food allergies compared to adults with lower levels. CDC data also states there has been an 18% overall increase in food allergies between 1997 and 2007.

Outlining how many specialists such as cardiologists are selling their practices and moving to hospitals owned by large corporations. It is now known that many are finding these large hospital corporations limit care quality by limiting tests and procedures doctors are allowed to perform.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding a study of medication errors. The study found that families and patients were rarely told about medications errors. Researchers found that these errors mostly did not harm patients but the ones that did were usually in the ICU. A database of nearly 840.000 voluntarily reported medication errors from 537 U.S. hospitals between 1999 and 2005. Finding ICUs accounted for 56,000 or 6.6% of errors. Over half the time no actions were tken after errors with only a third of staff told about the reported errors.

Dr. Peter Glidden fills in for Dr. Wallach discussing recent gun control measure by the administration. Citing statistics that 31,000 people are kill by gun violence annually. Prompting the actions by the government to control guns. While no one is talking about the 780,000 Americans killed by the medical system each and every year. Dr. Glidden asks the questions "how come the administration is not talking about doctor control?"

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Glidden discuss a news article on cancer treatment side effects. A recent study published in the Annals of Oncology found negative side effects from cancer treatment trials are often not reported. In fact researchers scrutinized 164 cancer treatment studies of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Finding negative toxic side effects weren't reported in results tables. While a third failed to mention these toxicities either in the abstract or discussion section.
