The increased risk lies in the false sense of security that is created by people feeling they are "protected" against the sun's harmful rays. Unfortunately, sun screens don't protect the band of UV (ultra violet) light that actually causes cancer. Sun screens protect against UVB the burning ray. While it is UVC that causes cancer and skin aging.
