Playgrounds in the city of Monterey have already re-opened (except for Dennis-The-Menace Park), and the playgrounds in Salinas are now scheduled to re-open on Monday. The re-openings are due to the Covid-19 case rates dropping in the area. People are still asked to follow the posted Covid-19 guidance of practicing social distancing, wearing face coverings, washing/sanitizing hands before and after using the equipment there….and limiting the number of people on the playground at one time. Large gatherings are still not allowed, and to that end picnic tables and group barbecue areas will remain closed.
