A FIRE AT PLANTRONICS IN SANTA CRUZ LAST NIGHT HAS CAUSED ABOUT 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS IN DAMAGE. SANTA CRUZ FIRE CREWS ARRIVED ON SCENE AND HAD TO CUT A HOLE IN THE CEILING IN ORDER TO DOUSE THE BLAZE WITH WATER. THE FIRE WAS CONTAINED WITHIN 20 MINUTES, AND NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE FIRE WAS STARTED BY WELDING WORK BEING DONE IN THE FACILITY THAT IGNITED COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS, AND HAS BEEN DEEMED ACCIDENTAL.
