A new park is slated to be built in Pajaro thanks to a 5-million dollar grant from Proposition 84. Construction for the 5.8 acre neighborhood park is expected to begin in the spring of 2012. The grant was received by the Redevelopment Agency of Monterey County and is said to fund design and construction costs of the new park, which will include a combined soccer and baseball fields, a basketball and volleyball court, a bandstand and parking.
