3-dogs are dead following a chaotic incident Sunday night in salinas. it began shortly after 9 p.m., when salinas police officers were called to the 2-hundred block of arguello street, where a small dog had been injured by 3-loose pit bulls. The dogs were able to elude officers, (as well as animal control officers), and were chased to pajaro and gabilan. In the meantime, area residents were urged to go inside and close their garage doors. A Chihuahua was attacked and killed by the loose dogs, before 1-of them was shot while charging at a salinas police officer. A 2nd pitbull was shot by another officer (in bataan park), after that dog also charged at the officer. The dogs’ owner showed up at the scene, and 49-year-old louie arrey was issued several citations.
