With an active fire season, several state parks across California shut down as a precaution.
On Friday, Pinnacles National Park and access to Bear Gulch via Pinnacles Parkway re-opened to the public.
Parking is limited and staff with Pinnacles National Park advise visitors to arrive early on the weekends.
The following fire restrictions are in place:
- There is a complete ban on the use of charcoal grills, lighting of campfires, or cooking fires
- Smoking is limited to enclosed vehicles or within designated buildings
- And propane or gas stove use is only allowed within marked campsites.
Caves within Pinnacles National Park remain closed as well as their shuttle service.
