The pilot, who died in a fatal plane crash in Marina recently, was 85 year-old Watsonville (and Palm Springs) resident Gordon Leroy Holley (better known as Lee Holley). He was a Warner Bros animator, and later worked for Hank Ketcham on Dennis The Menace. According to the N.T.S.B., Lee Holley had owned the plane since 1990, and had more than 2600 hours of flying experience. Lee Holley is survived by his wife, daughters, siblings, grandchildren and a great grandchild. Services are scheduled to be held Friday at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel in Watsonville, and a Celebration Of His Life is scheduled to take place afterward at the Seacliff Inn in Aptos.
