(On Monday,) Pacific Gas and Electric has announced a guilty plea to 84 counts of involuntary manslaughter caused by the 2018 wildfires in Paradise, dubbed the “Camp Fire”.
PG&E also pled guilty to one count of causing a fire as well.
The utility is expected to pay the maximum fine plus 3.5-million dollars.
Per this plea deal, no further criminal charges for this incident is expected to be raised against Pacific Gas and Electric.
