Leaders of the pacific grove unified school district have crafted a tax measure, which is expected to go before voters in the district this fall. “Measure V” would impose a 60-dollar tax (per parcel), if approved. That would replace a 35-dollar parcel tax, under “measure X.” the increase, (which would last 4-years), comes as state- funding for education continues to be reduced. The tax- measure would raise an estimated 230-thousand dollars per year; it will appear on the ballot on November 8th.
