Although toned down a bit for 2020, Pacific Grove’s iconic Candy Cane Lane is still taking place this holiday season. Due to the pandemic, instead of walking along Morse Drive, it’s recommended that people drive down Candy Cane Lane. The tradition of decorating the whole neighborhood reportedly dates back about 60 years, and although Platt Park (in the middle of candy cane lane) is usually decorated too, this year it will be dark, so as to encourage people not to gather there the way they have in the past.
