The pacific grove city council has voted to draft an ordinance, that, if approved, would ban smoking in public places in the city. The 5-2 vote to draw up an ordinance was approved at the City Council’s Tuesday meeting, and would ban smoking in city parks, beach fronts, and other public spaces. City Council members could vote on the ban next month.
