(15:28)PACIFIC GROVE-The Monterey peninsula will be the venue for the Women’s Leaders in Law Enforcement Conference later this year. The event which should draw in hundreds of female officers from all over the state and country will focus on communities like Pacific Grove which employees 27 percent female officers more than twice the national average. Women officers are believed to rely more on communication skills to defuse situations. Although most experts agree that a mixed police force is best suited for all situations. The conference is scheduled for November.
