Following allegations of anti-Black Lives Matter remarks on a Parler social media account belonging to a male Pacific Grove Police Officer, the officer was put on administrative leave on Saturday.
Chief Madalone of Pacific Grove Police stated that she is “deeply troubled and concerned by this”, and officials state that the officer in question was previously reported to the city back in May of this year for controversial bumper stickers on his personal vehicle.
Officials with the Pacific Grove Police Department plan to assign an independent investigator to follow up on this incident.
