A 37 year-old Pacific Grove man suffered fatal injuries while riding a motorcycle on Highway 1 Monday, near Garrapata State Park. He, and a 61 year-old Monterey man, were riding their motorcycles when the driver of a vehicle on the west side of the rode thought the scenic highway was clear for a u-turn. The motorcyclists were not able to avoid the crash. One motorcyclist died, and the other suffered minor injuries in the accident.
