Pacific grove city council members voted unanimously on Wednesday to move forward with a proposal to share a police chief with the city of seaside. The council agreed to begin official talks with seaside officials to make the plan a reality. City leaders expect the move to save a combined 100-thousand dollars. pacific grove police chief darius engles is set to retire on july 31st. seaside police chief Vicki Meyers would likely take over the new, joint-city-post, if the deal is approved.
