Santa Cruz County officials are warning residents of a phone scam. Victims have reported being called by someone claiming to be a PG&E representative. The caller then demanded money for a utilities bill and threatened to shut off the victims’ electricity. The scammer asked for a Gree Dot Money Pak from CVS Pharmacy. Officials are reminding the public that PG&E does not call customers for payments.
