A special public meeting is set for wednesday evening in pacific grove, to address a proposal to re-zone part of the city, to allow a new hotel to be built. Developers have proposed building a 7-story, 230-room hotel on a site downtown, (just north of the Holman building) on lighthouse avenue. the zoning change could appear on the November ballot, but if more time is needed, it could be put to a vote in a special election next april. The public meeting tonight is scheduled for 6 p.m. at city council chambers on forest avenue.
