Although Cal-Trans says they are still pretty much on-target to get the new Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge completed late next month, it could be early October before they actually re-open it to traffic. That’s because getting the 900-pound girders in place is slow work. The 15 girder segments are being moved in 18-inch increments….and have to bridge the entirety of Pfeiffer Canyon.
