Both the City Of Marina, and the Marina Coast Water District, have filed petitions with the Public Utilities Commission for a re-hearing of California American’s application for their desalination project in marina. City officials, and water district spokespeople, list a series of alleged legal and procedural errors in the paperwork that backs the project. Cal-Am officials say that although they are still reviewing the re-hearing petition, it only appears to contain arguments that have already been made, and addressed, in the P.U.C.’s approval of the project.
