Santa Cruz Police had to tackle a man who took off running with drugs and a loaded gun on Monday. And officer began following a car on Water and Ocean Street around 6pm after seeing wanted parolee, 28-year-old Daniel Wynn, in the passenger seat of a car. The officer called for additional cover, because Wynn is known to run when encountered. After Wynn realized the Police car has spotted him, he jumped from the car carrying a duffle bag and headed toward Pacific Avenue, where he was tackled in a parking garage. The police found a loaded revolver and nearly ¾ of a pound of marijuana in the bag. Wynn also had 10 grams of methamphetamine and 1.7 grams of cocaine on his person. Wynn was arrested for being a felon in possession of a loaded gun with altered serial numbers, possession of drugs for sale, and resisting arrest. The woman driving the car was arrested as an accessory.
