A Salinas man was arrested for multiple charges on Saturday. Officers with the Violence Suppression Unit stopped a parolee wanted for non-compliance near the intersection of Linwood and Chaparral Streets. A search of, known gang member, 37-year-old Roberto Ruiz’s vehicle uncovered a loaded handgun and methamphetamine packaged for sale. A search of the suspects home also turned up a shotgun and 400 rounds of ammunition. Ruiz was booked into Monterey County Jail.
