All but 5 of the state parks slated to close on Sunday have been spared. State parks officials announced Thursday that scores of agreements have either been finalized, or are in the process of being finalized. Of the 5-parks still slated for closure, zmudowski state beach in monterey county is the only park on the central coast. However, that would still conflict with the state’s obligation to provide public access to beaches. the sunday deadline has been extended, so, the park could ultimately remain open.
