(09:00) MONTEREY COUNTY – The Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District has announced that several open spaces and park sites will remain closed through late summer and early fall, due to the Soberanes fire. The parks that are currently closed are: Cachagua Community Park: Closed until October 1, Garland Ranch Regional Park: Closed until August 31, Kahn Ranch at Garland Ranch Regional Park: Closed until October 1, Mill Creek Redwood Preserve: Closed Indefinitely, Palo Corona Regional Park: Closed until October 1, and Whisler-Wilson at Palo Corona Regional Park: Closed until October 1.
